ABSTRACT

Quality has always been the goal of every physician. Every single healthcare organization and/or hospital has a program related to quality assurance and improvement. Quality is the basis of every single strategy in healthcare organization and is justified as it improves patients’ health, reduces costs, and ensures the sustainability of the healthcare organization. The only, and critical, measure of quality has been the review of cases by physicians at morbidity and mortality conferences, but this is insufficient and needs to be more standardized. A friendly physician can lead to good scores by patients on quality issues, as most patients do not understand the complexity of medicine. The physician evaluating quality should establish the committee. Physicians need to understand the business aspects of becoming good managers. Managers need to build a robust and productive workplace and seek feedback. This feedback can be obtained using questionnaires.
