ABSTRACT
Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society is one of the largest healthcare delivery organizations in the USA. This chapter presents predictive analytics as a modern methodology that allows for higher accuracy in anything from diagnosis to treatment to business operations. It examines a “disruptive model” that puts the patient at the center as the CEO of their healthcare with the payers and providers as servants of the patient. To be more specific about a healthcare model that works, is how Oak Street Health judges the success and the impact they are having: Oak Street talks about keeping patients happy, healthy, and out of the hospital. They are doing all several of those things: they have a 92% Net Promoter Score, so they feel like their patients are happy; they are a five-star practice on the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set scale, so Oak Street is a high-quality practice delivering evidence-based care.
