ABSTRACT

Families of patients can bring problems to the hospital and “place” the stress on the patient. The available data suggest that, in general, patients discharged American Medical Association have an increased risk of hospital readmission and potentially death. When the patient feels attacked, abandoned, or mistreated, they became emotionally unstable, and they can become difficult. Depending on the severity of the incident, patients may receive a warning letter regarding their behavior and be removed from the patient list. A certified letter with a return request is needed, and the patient needs to have a plan of action for 30 days before the date of the termination of care. The patient who tries to prevent healing and the patient who refuses to treat a chronic condition can be considered a difficult patient.
