ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the growth of less established parenting styles that are surfacing in the literature and media. For example, tiger parenting, helicopter parenting, positive parenting, and negotiation parenting. Some of these are not specific new styles; for example, the positive parenting style is a generic one that is applicable to many others. The chapter finishes with a table summarising the pros and cons of these parenting styles.
