ABSTRACT
Science communication has received significant attention in recent years. In this chapter, the authors explore three models of science communication (deficit, dialogue, and participation) that have been useful in describing the interplay between science, technology, and society. The authors introduce a fourth model (dissent and conflict/actionthe authors then explore science communication and public engagement patterns within the context of science exhibitions.
