Hutt compares these at length to what is developed by others, in particular those engaged in feminist historiographical work. The representation of women in the community of Peter found in the Pseudo-Clementine literature is discussed at length. This is specifically compared to what is encountered in the Apocryphal Acts. The author concludes this chapter with a detailed discussion of the representation of Jewish, Christian, and pagan women in The Sorrows of Mattidia.
