ABSTRACT
Chapter 7 extends the basic active learning techniques discussed in Chapter 3 and introduces more advanced active learning environments. The considerations of implementing active learning techniques are explored. The chapter describes additional active learning activities and provides a variety of resources for further investigation. A few active learning course designs are described in this chapter, including inquiry-based learning, community service learning, and flipped classrooms, for the reader's exposure and future consideration. A brief discussion of online courses and the making of videos for online courses is included. While readers are encouraged to pursue active classrooms, they are also advised to seek out education and support as they explore these options.
