ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to collate the key findings of the research undertaken in this book. The analysis in Chapters 6 to 9 have revealed fundamental aspects of political, security and environmental challenges to regional energy cooperation in South Asia. An understanding of these challenges has also facilitated policy recommendations that can potentially improve the prospects for proposed multilateral energy projects. This chapter is divided into three parts. First, it provides a brief summary of the key findings of the book. It then recommends policy measures by which some of these challenges can be mitigated. Lastly, the chapter describes the shortcomings of the book.
