ABSTRACT

In the organisational context, it’s regarded as standard practice that the coach will work with current issues and also include assessment profiles and structured processes as part of the coaching experience. In this chapter I describe two awareness-enhancing exercises that are compatible with working from a Gestalt coaching approach. These can add value to individual and team coaching as they provide important personal background and context. They also facilitate developmental insights. In choosing these, there is no suggestion implied that other awareness-raising processes, such as psychometric profiling, are not equally valid and useful.
