ABSTRACT

In this chapter I identify a number of watch-outs for Gestalt coaches, which include: working creatively with ‘resistance’ without resorting to personal defensiveness or unaware advocacy; learning to recognise when you’re triggered – and what to do about it; resisting over-structuring and holding models, concepts, and interpretations lightly when work is in progress; knowing your intention; and having a good sense of timing in your interventions.
