Working with Students

In this section, the author explains the background and the need for working with students with learning disabilities and related disorders. The author explains how the school counselor may be the one voice to advocate for evaluations for students with potential learning issues. The author goes on to explain that the earlier the intervention, the more likely it will be that the student will avoid the possible later pitfalls of learning disabilities.
