ABSTRACT

This chapter summarises all the key findings from dataset, and brings them together to provide an overall picture of secondary science teaching and learning in the two kinds of EMI classrooms. It then answers all the research questions stated in the beginning of the book and sums up the book’s contributions in terms of both theory and practice. By highlighting the identified issues in local EMI teaching, this chapter stresses the need for the government and schools to design adequate teacher training programmes in order to provide students with quality EMI teaching. The chapter particularly urges involving parties to help EMI teachers develop essential pedagogical skills to combine content and language learning in their planned curriculum.
