ABSTRACT

In the final chapter, Managing and Leveraging Events: Business and Social Dimensions, the authors take the opportunity to both reflect and suggest future avenues for event research and practice. Specifically, the reflections focus on critical issues and trends that will influence the way in which future events are designed, delivered, experienced, and evaluated. The chapter also explores challenges and opportunities for events in the post-COVID-19 era that are expected to have significant implications for both event theory and practice.
