ABSTRACT
Introduction
Progressive companies with ambition, willingness and a strong quality culture will never stop trying to get better. We have discussed the implementation of a quality management system (QMS) but what about other approaches or further steps? In this chapter we introduce lean management, with special emphasis on visual management. The Six Sigma method is also briefly introduced. The ISO9004 standard, which provides guidance to companies for further development, is discussed and, finally, integrated management standards are introduced.
