ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author presents a brief autobiography of his own challenges and rewards with sleep, physical movement, nutrition, gratitude, happiness, and mindfulness. As an extension to the notion of routes traveled toward good health, consideration is offered regarding grounding the roots of wellness and vitality, both physical and psychological. Several final recommendations for the health of music teachers are offered, including autonomy, organization, scheduling, prioritization, relaxation, play, and lifelong learning.
