ABSTRACT

The key areas in this chapter contextualize ‘pedagogy’ and ‘art practice.’ The chapter outlines art which is located in the process of making and asks how this can be a collaborative act of shared commitment. The chapter explores Ranciere/Hal Foster/Griselda Pollock and reviews the work of Tania Brugera in terms of issues of claiming help. This chapter will also touch upon New Genre Public Art and Claire Bishop's Artificial Hells.
