ABSTRACT

The final chapter of the book implores TV multimedia journalists to perform a seemingly simple task: think long-term. Journalists everywhere, but especially MMJs, rarely have time during the day to think about anything but their stories. When the day is done, though, one must remember the importance of viewing the big picture and taking steps accordingly. This final chapter leaves readers with encouragement to explore their passions and goals for the industry and then put those feelings into practice. It emphasizes seeking feedback and critiques on one’s work, finding role models and mentors, evaluating one’s own work with an objective eye, and maintaining one’s enthusiasm while embarking on a career in journalism.
