ABSTRACT

The last block on the Strategy Whiteboard is Financial Outcomes. Most strategic planning efforts begin with setting financial goals and then adapt a strategy to fit within the limited potential of incremental financial growth. While Financial Outcomes are an important part of strategic planning and execution, they should not be the initial and primary focus of planning. In the Blendification System, Financial Outcomes are just that, outcomes. The Financial & Metrics block in the Strategic Analysis section includes historical financial performance and metrics. From a simplistic perspective, some companies copy the categories in the Financial & Metrics block to the Financial Outcomes block and establish goals for the future. Within the Financial Outcomes block, it will be necessary to identify the key Financial Outcomes related to the company. For Hotel Blendification, the measurements or categories in the Financial Outcomes are the same as the Financial & Metrics block, except the Financial Outcomes are based on the future.
