ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a worksheet for learners to practice letter names and sounds. An adult needs to make a note of any weaknesses of the learner and try to reinforce the teaching of these names and sounds. The chapter provides an activity requiring learners to say loud the names of letters and to say loud the sounds of these letters listed in alphabetical order. The activity also requires the learners to spell the names of the letters and the letter sounds in the order that they are given. The adult needs to dictate these sounds in the given order, by saying the sound first, followed by an example of the words where the sound is heard.
