ABSTRACT

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge differentiates itself from other lands/parts of theme parks in size, immersion and detail. It is the combination of the world and the cast members that make it feel as if the visitor is not at Walt Disney World but actually visits the Black Spire Outpost. Storytelling and theming elements are woven into the entire presentation of the place, from the taste of the food to the look of the houses to the array of sounds that are to be heard in the background. It is a subliminal form of storytelling going on that impacts the mind subconsciously, immersing the player into the world without them being aware of it, like using crackling energy and hisses of steam sounds, that transport visitors to the outpost.
