ABSTRACT

In order to successfully develop new story experiences that work within the new dynamic of the creator, the story and the audience, a set of principles of and methods takes the concept of Integrated Storytelling from overall idea to design and application. The Story Sphere is made up of everything that the audience encounters as they journey through creator’s story experience designs. It effectively places them in the centre of creators storyverse, if they accept the invitation to enter. Modularisation of storylines enables the creator to work with them as elements in a design structure that can be assembled, scrambled and realigned in many different ways to provide a multitude of new story variations. Micro Stories are the building blocks of Modular Storytelling, wherein each of the elements can work on their own or together in linear or random order. Every element and design consideration converges into an experiential narrative.
