ABSTRACT

The War of the Worlds started as written words in its initial format of a book by H.G. Wells, which has proven to be a concept that is capable of using and transcending contemporary technologies from the 1800s through the 1900s and well into the twenty-first century. English writer H.G. Wells made his mark in the late-nineteenth century and early-twentieth century, combining his insight in sciences and philosophy to create some of the most influential science-fiction literature of all time. With The War of the Worlds, H.G. Wells provided the very foundation for the modern alien invasion concept, one that would have a long-lasting impact across media, fiction and even science, and have stayed relevant for well over a decade. The simplified premise of The War of the Worlds begins with the Martians, having watched Earth with envy, deciding to invade the planet and eradicate its human population in order to rule it.
