ABSTRACT
The costume designer does not work alone on a creative project. This chapter explores the collaborative leadership and team dynamics costume designers must navigate skillfully. Many costume designers lead teams that do not work directly for them but are employed by the producer or independent vendors. Strategies for successful critique include solutions-based thinking and tips on how to deal with difficult people.
