ABSTRACT

The A to B score is a fundamental travelling score and is explored with multiple options and examples that consider starting and ending travelling improvisations. There is an explanation of the single step score as an improvisation that offers both great opportunities for inclusive groups but also a rich learning ground for developing a clearer understanding of how we use different senses to read and participate in improvised dance. There is also an exploration into the relationship of soloist to group, and a challenging solo A to B improvisation.
