ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the alphabet game which is designed to elicit words spontaneously and to begin building short ‘unprepared’ phrases. The game then leads into a development of the improvisation leading and following that begins to combine movement and text both in duet form and then within group scores a significant development of this central improvisational score. Finally, the chapter introduces the combination of text, movement and live music.
