ABSTRACT
Editorial independence in journalism was perishing, and people’s right to information was forgotten. The mainstream media scene including the local media, like today, was an arena of disinformation. Independence, comes with its financial challenges, especially in Turkey, where political position plays a major role in opening or closing doors of support from government and commercial sectors. In it, people can find articles that include comments on daily developments, cultural and art news, events, and political debates. The website hub presents hyperlink connections to the BIA library, the Gender Based Reporting Library, news about Atolye BIA, the Media Monitoring Database, and Bianet’s social media accounts. Starting from the educational perspective, Atolye BIA coordinates workshops, seminars, and other programmes with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Out of the travels, seminars, workshops, and presentations over the years, along came the books of BIA library.
