ABSTRACT

The pandemic has shone yet another spotlight on the impact disadvantage has on education many of the world’s children – particularly those in poorer households – do not have internet access, personal computers, TVs or even radio at home, amplifying the effects of existing learning inequalities. Learning to read is obviously fundamental to education success, and this is an area in which many children not only are heavily disadvantaged before they start school, but also by the systems the peoples use in school. One of the greatest advantages to a child is for their parents and carres to be involved in their education on parent partnerships is packed full of ideas to support the people with this.
