ABSTRACT

The Frame method is a reference system. You can set up a “frame” at any position of your choice. This “frame” gives you a relative “measurable” base for developing your perspective estimations. Pay special attention to the proportional relationships among the objects on a floor plan, which is one of the keys in using this method. When estimating, use your common sense and training in perspective drawing as your guide, and always referring to the “frame.” This method works best for those with some drawing skills on hand, and looking to speed up their drawing pace. Examples with step-by-step instructions for both proscenium stage as well as for non-proscenium stage are included.
