ABSTRACT

Drawing a figure (an actor) in a perspective drawing is important for scene design perspective sketches, especially for the Frame Method and the Freehand with References Method. This figure helps to give the drawer a sense of proportional relationships among the actor, the set, and the given stage space. In most cases, the drawer only needs to draw a figure with simple line to establish the needed proportional reference. In some cases, drawing a figure with more details might help to elevate the sketch’s presentational quality.
