ABSTRACT

It is often the simpler structures of everyday life – the regular breakfast; the commute to work or the shops; the brief social exchanges at the shops; the need to be somewhere; or the work-in-progress – that, once familiar, keep people connected enough to the world to carry on. Knowing what to expect in our everyday lives and how to execute small goals helps us all. For clozapine clients, accountability to the medication regimen and the social environment of the clinic was complementing this basic human need. We must keep asking what supports are working, even if imperfectly.
