ABSTRACT
Morphosis Architects collaborated with John A. Martin Associates to design 41 Cooper Square, a research and teaching facility for the Cooper Union in New York City. A strong architectural vision required careful engineering integration by both structural and mechanical engineers to meet the clients’ needs and deliver the height-restricted building with convoluted but critical air-handling needs and an ambitious structural scheme.
