ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the existing research related to procedural frameworks for Sustainability Assessments. This will provide the platform for the development of a conceptual framework on a procedural Sustainability Assessment from the private sector perspective. The main tools and techniques used within each stage and step of the framework is described. This review bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practice by providing key empirical cases for each step of the Sustainability Assessment. It concludes with the methodology design and decisions which informed this research.
