ABSTRACT

The epilogue of the text provides the researcher’s reflections on the project and how he wants the participants’ stories to impact positive change. In particular, the author shares an excerpt from an analytical memo that then causes him to reflect on his own responsibility to ensuring the success of Queer Students of Color in higher education. In referencing the first analytical memo that he wrote as a part of this project, he offers his thoughts on what an intersectional lens meant for the framing of these participants’ stories. He highlights how his use of intersectionality shed a light the role of systemic oppression in their lives but also underscored the agency that these students showcased. He concludes with a series of questions that manifested as he underwent this research project, hoping that readers can use these questions to think through their commitment to advocating for Queer Communities of Color on their own campuses.
