ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the transportation modes used in concert touring. Most touring is done by road, with the use of sleeper buses, splitter vans, and trucks. You will learn the differences, advantages, and limitations of each mode, as well as some of the legislation that surrounds moving people and equipment by road. This chapter then looks at air travel for both artists and their equipment, with a full explanation of carnets (a type of passport for equipment).
