ABSTRACT
The contract for a concert or festival performance sets out the terms and conditions for the concert promoter and the artist and is specific to that concert or festival. This chapter is a clause-by-clause guide to a standard performance contract. Stipulations regarding performance times and set length, access to the venue, commission on merchandising (“merch”), billing order, promoter’s insurance, ticket pricing and scaling, and the payment of deposits are all covered in this chapter.
