ABSTRACT

The hectic journey of proving and improving ourselves oftentimes takes a high toll on us and makes it hard to lead a fulfilling private life, let alone reflect on the purpose and sensibility of our path. We then just go through the motions without taking some distance to evaluate whether these motions will lead us to where we want to be. In order to get an idea of the big picture, it is critical to force ourselves now and then to stop, take a few mental steps back, and look at our activities. This chapter reviews some exercises that can help you identify your personal balance between ambition and acceptance. The three simple, yet effective practices that are discussed are Daily Reflection Cycle, Prayer, and Meditation.
