ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on five important paradigm shifts for leaders: (1) the general perception of leadership; (2) the specific perception of a leader; (3) leaders are both born and made; (4) learnability of leadership, and (5) realizing the ebbs and flows in leadership performance. Considering or even adopting these five paradigm shifts of leadership may not necessarily make you a leader, but they can inspire you to rethink the way you perceived yourself and a number of the people with whom you interact in a wide range of performance areas.
