ABSTRACT

This chapter ponders how women ‘juggle’ it all. It focuses on time management and methods women have successfully used to manage it all. It draws on data surrounding the roles of males and females in relationships. The roles of heterosexual relationships are compared to same-sex relationships. The expectations of each gender and the allocation of household chores of these two types of relationships are discussed. This chapter will also include reflections on the ‘sandwich generation’ (e.g., Parents caring for their children and their own parents at the same time, due to having children later in life) and how they develop time management skill in an ever-changing societal trends and parenting pressures.
