ABSTRACT

[My brother] not understanding [brain injury] … makes sense, no one can unless they’ve had one. … Because there's two ways of thinking about it. When you say “I’ve had a brain injury” people are like, “Oh, should I treat you …” they immediately think that you’ve got brain damage. Or they’re like, “Oh, well you’ve had one so you’re fine now.” … And I guess unless you explain it to them, like, “This is how my life has changed,” they’re not going to understand.
