ABSTRACT

Finding, selecting and interpreting the correct information to guide the enterprise has consequently become the primary objective of Business Intelligence (BI). This information comes not so much from the immediate environment of the enterprise, the Core marketing system, but from the environment outside it. Data are collected from existing systems that are present in the enterprise. These data are supplemented with information that is found by the staff or is registered. Dependent on the need of the staff in the enterprise and the topicality of the data, it can be determined when which information can be sent to what places or positions within or outside the enterprise. The data used in BI have to comply with a number of requirements allowing decision making based on it. To give all the data from BI proper form, it is wise to store them in computerised information systems, so that they can be viewed from different angles.
