ABSTRACT

Partial recovery (i.e. the middle stages of recovery for many) is a really tough place to be. Often people recieve less care and concern from others in this stage, yet are still struggling with thoughts and behaviors. In this chapter, the authors talk about lies that many individuals’ eating disorders tell them in an effort to keep them stuck. They also discuss how to talk back to those eating disorder lies. Additionally, they explain some behavioral changes that individuals can start to implement in an effort to get out of the no man’s land of partial recovery.
