ABSTRACT

The claims of exercises with the intention to provoke, however, quickly lose water when seen in practice. Auto-switch is unique in that it is a stepping stone, a precursor to an exercise, rather than the exercise itself. Auto-switch further blurred the lines between the repetition and three moment exercise, suggesting that when two people use repetition, putting even more power in the hands of the moment, meaningful specific changes in the text are possible. Auto-switch quite naturally becomes the full technique of repetition. Pairs at the end might just want to jump into repetition but encourage them to start with auto-switch and to feel the organic chaos where suddenly partners in the exercise seem to arrive into repetition rather than forcing it to happen. A change in auto-switch that is not premeditated just seems to happen.
