ABSTRACT

This final chapter draws together the themes of the book and summarises questions and implications that these generate for educators and researchers. We outline nine principles that emerge out of research into digital literacy and new media practice. These are principles that reflect ideas and examples included in previous chapters and which support an open-ended way of thinking about the potentialities associated with digital communication in classrooms. Importantly these principles are designed to be refined through engagement with practice in the moment. Such an approach, we suggest, aligns with the emphasis on liveliness we have sought to expand upon through the course of this book.
