ABSTRACT

A new digital presence will have few visitors. Building reputation begins with someone else linking to people's website or people's profile on a social media channel. About 80% of all the traffic to one or more of the channels in people's presence will come from clicking on a link found on a search engine result page. The hardest persona intents to reach are the specifically identifiable keywords such as brands or specifically named products. When the intent becomes more focused, multiple auxiliaries creates a separate type of search. The broadest searches are those that only identify a general category of things. Most search engines, including Google, attempt to identify the underlying intent of the combination of search keywords rather than, more simply, mechanistically trying to match terms in the keywords with the words in a piece of content.
