ABSTRACT

This chapter serves writers who are ready to become storytellers. Storytellers often make themselves vulnerable, even as they design characters to bear the weight of fictional narratives. The activities that follow encourage the development of two different forms: personal narrative writing and fiction writing. Most importantly, they invite writers to tuck themselves into the texts, so that their audiences might genuinely connect with them. More experienced writers might compose progressive and collaborative tiny text message tales. The first writer texts an emoji to the group that serves as the beginning of the story. Writers of all ages and experience levels may create audience-worthy emoji stories that serve as their final narrative expressions. Writers take thoughtful photos after an inquiry around their chosen form, and then they drop them into slides strategically. Each image advances their story bit by bit, and the slides can be edited for effect.
