ABSTRACT
This chapter examines different arrangements of executive power in Europe, including parliamentary systems with a prime minister, presidential systems, and semi-presidential systems, as well as the merits of each type of system. It also notes the presence of “symbolic” executives” as well as the “presidentialization” of several European political systems.
