ABSTRACT
This chapter gives an overview of the book by highlighting the main elements of each subsequent chapter. It makes visible the connection between old age and governmental policies that are related to telecare technologies. The emphasis on policies stems from the fact that these policies can position older people in certain implicit and explicit ways, meaning that they constitute particular identities for older people. The chapter introduces the main question of enquiry: How is the identity of old age constituted in relation to telecare technologies?
