ABSTRACT

This chapter helps the students to build an impressive resume, ways to gain interviewing practice, tips to land experience in college before earning student’s degree, ways to ensure their online “face” is impressive and develop a job-search philosophy that ensures their ultimate success. Many schools offer work-study programs, which allow students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while pursuing a college degree. Some colleges offer work-study jobs strictly on campus, while others offer both on and off-campus work. These writers will then launch into a passionate diatribe in which they claim that their main task as a job seeker is to figure out how to “beat” out other job applicants because they’re student’s “competition.” The deans, executives, and vice presidents at colleges and universities attend an education conference and come back all excited over some new trend that swept through their conference.
