ABSTRACT

Professors lecture over the material, often racing through it at lightning speed. They expect that the student, ask questions about anything you do not understand. Remember, to most professors, silence means understanding. The instructor will be so irritated by the unclear or unprofessional email that he/she will simply not respond to it. Grading is by no means a science, especially in an English, history, or philosophy class, so if the student want to develop a long-term relationship with this professor, be careful how student ask about professor’s grades. This form of cheating, or plagiarism, is actually theft of intellectual material, and it is a serious offense. Depending on how severe the theft is, it could cause the student to fail the assignment or the entire class. Some colleges and universities may expel students with repeat offenses, so double check to be sure that the students cited all professor’s sources.
