ABSTRACT
This chapter will cover the ‘at risk’ seniors group, and the issue of non-adherence. It will also discuss principles of psychotropic medication prescription with the elderly. It will discuss the need for regular re-evaluation, exploring common senior medication problems and strategies to deal with these. It will also explain specific psychotropic medication considerations in regard to the elderly.
